Today, I’m taking my mom on a road trip! Her name is Edna, and there’s a small town down around San Luis Obispo called Edna, so we’re going to go there. I don’t know what we’re going to to when we get there, except that she wants to have her picture taken by a sign that says “Old Edna.” Heh. And I expect we’ll have lunch and wander around and see what there is to see. And then we’ll come home.

Mapquest says it’s going to be a three and a half hour drive. Which is fine, except that my allergies are really bad today. I woke up at 5:30 am with my head so stuffed I couldn’t breathe, ended up getting up at 6:15 because I couldn’t get back to sleep, took a decongestant pill which so far has done nothing. So I’m going to be sleepy and stuffy-headed all day—not the ideal for driving for seven-plus hours. Well, I think I’ll go take a hot shower and attempt to clear my head.
