I finally saw the Transformers movie yesterday! (Finally, meaning two days after it opened. Heh.) I’ve already squee’d about it in my lj and jf and on Twitter, so I will suffice it to say here that I really enjoyed it and will go see it again if the opportunity arises. And will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out.

And, that reminds me, I still have Season 3 of the original Transformers cartoon to watch. Two box sets. I stopped watching the cartoon near the beginning of S3—I missed Megatron, and kind of lost interest. So these are mostly eps I’ve never seen. I’ll put them next on my list of DVDs to catch up with.

I also arranged with Kris to take next Thursday off, as well as next Saturday, so I can catch a ride with my girls to Las Vegas. Yay! That means I’ve got this weekend to  make sure I’ve got everything done that I need to do before I go. Eek! At least I don’t have to worry about getting the truck window fixed, since I won’t be driving. I still need to get it fixed sometime, but it can wait.

I didn’t get home from the movie until around 11 pm last night, and then stayed up another hour to unwind and wrap my arm, so it was a late night. So I didn’t get up until 8 am, and it’s already 95 F out there, too hot to run. I’m going to attempt to do my run this evening, after it starts to cool down.

I’ve got eight miles to do this Sunday. It’s supposed to start cooling down this weekend—Yahoo weather forecasts 86 F high for Sunday—so it shouldn’t be too bad. But I should try to get up early and get out there by 8 am at the latest. I’ll just do the Dennison-Valley-Curry four miles twice.

Turns out the order I placed for a pair of Nike Shox TL IV shoes on Finish Line didn’t go through—I called yesterday to verify. I suppose that they were already out of stock by the time I placed my order. So I put a bid on a pair of Nike Shox 2.45s on eBay. The auction won’t close for another five days, I think, so I won’t know till then if I have a new pair of shoes or not.

I don’t know what I’m going to do today. I should do some housecleaning, especially if I’m going to have guests next Thursday, even if it’s only for a short rest before continuing on to Vegas. It’s too hot for outdoor work, so I suppose I could clean the bathroom and maybe do some vacuuming and tidying up.

Tonight is the premiere of Doctor Who Season 3 on SciFi. I must remember to set it up to record next week when I’m gone. I’m not that excited about it, but I do want to see it.

Here is a picture of my Transformers toys. They’re all original G1 toys, except possibly for the little Japanese on in the box at the upper right. I don’t remember when/where I got it. Megatron  and his accessories are on the bottom left, he transforms into a Walther P-38.
